Cooling Off In The Big Caves Of Sacramonte in Granada

My Sister (the Kitty girl) and I (the Crab boy) took a mountain bus to go to the Sacramonte hill where the caves are located in Granada. This is the place where Jewish, Muslim and Gypsys lived. They were kicked out of the city of Granada because long ago, the Spanish Kings and Queens only accepted Catholic people in Granada.

We entered the caves and there were plenty of different rooms, the kitchen, the sewing room, the flamenco room, etc… The caves were a good place for shelter and cooling during summer and warmer place during winter.

On the day we visited, the weather was very hot outside (more than 40 degrees C or 100 degrees Fahrenheit) but thanks to the caves, we cooled off. It was fun because we had the impression of how people were living long ago.

We took bus number C34 from Plaza Nueva to go and walked back to the city center on Calle Verea De Enmedio.
